Here are the essentials:
- Add wallpaper or paneled walls to a powder room to add interest - make sure elements are luxurious such as great faucets and beautiful lighting as these are small spaces and you notice the details all the more.
- Add a tray of toiletries.
- Include lots of hook storage as well as lots of towels of varying sizes - bath, hand and face.
- Consider repurposing an antique or vintage dresser as a vanity to add some visual interest and character especially in a heritage home.
- Showers with glass walls allow for functionality even in small attic bathrooms.
- Place a dresser in a bathroom if there is space or have extra shelves for guests to put their travelling cases on. These also offer a place to store a blowdryer, toothpaste, and toilet paper.
- Hotel towel racks placed above a toilet are a great way to use otherwise empty space for extra towel storage and to dry wet towels.
- Additional hand mirrors are a nice touch.
